First day at school

On your first day at school you will meet  members of staff,  including your teacher. We will try our best to help you fit in as much as possible so please feel free to ask us any questions you may have about living and studying in the UK.

On your first morning you will have an induction where your teacher and welfare co-ordinator will explain the Day One Procedures. This will include:

A Placement Test: This is to assess your level of the language and be placed in a group accordingly.

Registration Form: You must fill out a registration form from your 'My Programme' link to submit all your contact details. It is very important that you keep us informed of any changes, for example: new mobile number, change of address or contact details.

Identification: Adults must bring a form of photographic ID on their first day and show this to staff in Reception so that they can record the details.

Fire Procedure: Your teacher will explain what to do and where to go in the unlikely event of a fire.

Student ID card: You will receive a student ID card, complete with name, photo and 24 hour emergency contact number. You should always carry this card with you. It is very important that you keep us updated and let us know if your contact details change.

Orientation: For individuals, one of our Student Happiness team will explain where you can find banks, places of worship, police station, train and coach stations, library etc.  If you need help, they are available to give you advice and recommendations.
